Transitioning

Dear OT!M readers and writers,

Very big news today. In the next several weeks, O Tempora! Magazine will be going through some fundamental changes. We hope you will bear with us while we work through this huge transition.
  1. First, we would like to wish Phillip Mitchell, who has served as Fiction Editor, a very fond farewell from the OT!M staff. Rebecah and I send him our most profound thanks for the instrumental role he played in making our first issue a reality. We wish you all the best, Phillip. I'm sure our readers do the same.
  2. After many long, hard weeks of consideration, we have decided that it is in the best interests of OT!M to focus, for the next several issues at very least, on poetry. We feel that, by channeling all of our time and energy into one genre, we can push the magazine to the level of depth and specificity that our readers deserve. In this spirit, we are currently at work on expanding the reviews section and adding a new section featuring exclusive interviews with a wide array of poets. We hope to not only share today's best new poetry with our readers, but also to encourage dialog by publishing the best new writing about poetry that we can get our hands on.
  3. Consequently, we are suspending fiction and nonfiction submissions until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes folks who have already submitted or have been planning to submit work in these genres. I will do my best to send this notice as an e-mail to each and every one of those who have already submitted work to OT!M No. 2. We have read a ton of excellent stories and essays, and we have the utmost respect for the writers who have entrusted the fruits of their labors to us. You deserve our deepest gratitude, and we offer that to you.
  4. We are currently working on building OT!M a new home. By the time our next issue hits the web, you should be able to see us on a newer, shinier, happier and otherwise higher-tech website! Be on the lookout here at otemporamagazine.com.
Thanks for stopping by. You're what keeps this party rocking.

Yours,

NM
